Cllr Kizzy Gardiner, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, announced the news today that 100 children( over the next 5 years) with special educational needs or disabilities will have a school place at a new site in Chapel End, Walthamstow, in plans the council has put forward. The school would be run by the Lime Trust, which already runs two specialist schools in the borough.
The Council has a statutory duty to maintain enough school places for children and young people with SEND, and the new site will help meet a growing need for appropriate provision, and mean less children are being transported to schools outside the borough every day.
This new school will take over a vacant educational facility after Chapel End Early Years Centre leave the site in the summer. It will initially open to 40 pupils in September 2026.

Your tips on inspecting a used car's undercarriage for salt corrosion were so helpful! Living in this area, rust is my biggest worry. I am currently browsing for Used Vehicles in Near me Central NY.
Your post on "sweating" fixtures was eye-opening. I’ve noticed beads of water on my sump pump and was worried about a leak. I am vetting Plumbers near Franklin, Indiana.
What matters in situations like this is not only increasing school places but ensuring trained professionals and structured learning approaches are in place to support diverse developmental needs. For children with SEND, tailored teaching, supportive environments, and consistent routines can greatly influence cognitive and social growth. This also reflects the rising need for continuous professional development among educators, support staff, and planners. Platforms like the College of Contract Management provide flexible online courses to help individuals build relevant skills in education and management. Such resources support those aiming to contribute effectively to school development projects or learner support. Ultimately, expanding school capacity must go hand in hand with quality training and ongoing learning to make a meaningful impact.
